Brand Campaign

2025 Super Bowl Campaign:

Letting NerdWallet do the work for you is genius

We brought a mascot to life — a genius beluga whale — for our very first Super Bowl campaign. My team was responsible for the below-the-line efforts, makings sure our messaging was hitting at every level of the funnel.

We created a copy toolkit for the campaign. This toolkit had two main goals.

1) It outlined the what kind of tone we took when our whale was in the ad (fun, whaleish, and sassy) and what kind of tone we took when a Nerd was in the ad (casual, easy, smart).

2) It allowed us to front-loaded a lot of hard-hitting lines that we could easily plug-n-play once we got the details of the assets themselves, saving us time, review rounds, and sanity.

Podcast Script

We shook off conventional podcast reads and leaned into our unconventional new mascot to create a loose script for podcast hosts to have fun with.

Whale Translation Script (host read for a comedian podcast)

Listeners, you know I’m a genius — obviously. And I have something genius to share from our sponsor, NerdWallet. Take a listen.
